How a rescue dog named Chuck affected our family.
All family and friends, and even pets, have their imperfections and annoying habits, but you love them anyway. My story reiterates the fact that not everybody is perfect, but you accept and love them for who they are.
My story could be used in a high school or college setting, in a health or psychology type class, to show students how important pets are in the lives of Americans. It’s been said, dogs are “man’s best friend” and there are many programs that use animals to aid in the therapy and healing of patients. Not everybody has had the benefit of having pets when they were children or having pets that were treated as a close part of the family. This story can be an example of the affect pets have on people.
